Twelve months to self-sufficiency!
Once upon a time, there was a farmer...
Remember when there was a time where you didn't have to have a Masters Degree to read a nutrition label? It seems those days are long gone, but what if you could control what actually goes into your kid's bodies? What if you could make things from scratch without it taking a ton of time. What if the resources are already in your kitchen and you don't have to spend a ton of money to start homesteading efficiently?
I'm Lexi, howdy!
You may have recognized me from the "Getting Started: Homestead & Natural Living" Facebook Group. I started this not-so-little Facebook group the end of 2023 and it has significantly gained traction across the US, so welcome!!
A little about me? Well, I didn't just grow up on a farm...
I pulled tobacco in the fields, was fussed at by my mama because my jeans were dirty from picking weeds. My fingers cramped from shelling beans and shucking corn, I burned my arms more times than I'd like to admit pulling the cans from the stock pot. I witnessed my Papa sweat as he watched the market intensely to lock in on the price of crops...
Just to hear my grandparents may lose the farm to bankruptcy because mother nature didn't favor the farmers that year... I tell ya, the farm life is a wild ride. Which may not be your future. It wasn't mine, or so I thought...
I left the farm when I turned 18, a hop, skip, and a jump to the city only to find myself back to my roots two years later.
Over the last decade, I have learned so much about homesteading. I created the group because my journey was lonely. Sure I had my family to lean on for their knowledge, but they did things different than I did.
I wanted an organic garden.
I wanted to can rice and noodles for quick meals.
I wanted to question the doctor's orders of vaccines and antibiotics.
ALL of which, you are either judged for OR considered "CRUNCHY"
I spent hours and hours reading blogs, watching tutorial videos, reading the long winded posts in the Facebook groups, just to learn that everybody has their own way of doing things... What works for my grandparents then, isn't the way I wanted to do things...
So I went against the norm, and if you're STILL reading, I must not be alone.
I've compacted my knowledge and others over the last decade into a one year container, just for you. A container where you have access to hundreds of resources, from blogs to vlogs to PDFs, to a community of others just like you and me.
I'll get back to the point...
Join me, as we navigate homesteading together. Your journey doesn't have to be alone.
This is a movement, a homestead movement. And I don't want to do it without you.

No laptop needed!
I was selected to preview and test the portal during the trial run. A few bugs they had to work out, I found it easy to navigate the portal. The content was streamlined and easy to understand.
When I was asked to check out the challenges, I almost said no. A toddler and a husband keep me busy enough. However, it's important to me to control what goes into our bodies, so I said yes. Spending an hour a week for the last month was perfect for me! Can't wait for more
Lexi and her team did a fantastic job of creating this program. The sneak peek was such a tease, I can't wait to see what comes through out the year!
